Student Scholarship
Students MUST apply for a WiCyS scholarship to attend the conference (there is no general WiCyS 2023 registration for students) and have to be a current WiCyS student member to apply.
The Student Scholarship awards reduced rate registration (includes all activities and meals) and two nights of complimentary shared lodging—March 16 and 17. Students receiving the scholarship will pay a minimal $40 registration processing fee instead of the conference registration cost of $450.
Students have the option to apply to be selected as a student volunteer. Students selected to volunteer are eligible for (not guaranteed) a $500 travel stipend (if local $100 instead of $500) provided they complete the volunteer hours, complete required paperwork, and attend the Travel Stipend Verification event on Saturday, March 18 from 2pm to 2:30pm.
Student Research Posters submissions closed December 12. Posters provide opportunities for students to present their work for the audience at WiCyS 2023 in poster format.
Faculty Scholarship
Faculty must be a WiCyS Student Chapter Advisor or a WiCyS Faculty Member that has not attended WiCyS in the past.
Faculty Members can apply for a Faculty Scholarship which includes a discounted conference registration fee instead of the conference registration cost of $450 and two nights of complimentary shared lodging – March 16 and 17.
Applicants have the option to apply to be selected as a volunteer. Selected volunteers are eligible for (not guaranteed) a $500 travel stipend (if local $100 instead of $500) provided they complete the volunteer hours, complete required paperwork, and attend the Travel Stipend Verification event on Saturday, March 18 from 2pm to 2:30pm.
Equity & Advancement Scholarships
For all WiCyS members in need of financial aid or part of an underrepresented group.
This scholarship exists to embrace and empower underrepresented populations by providing equitable accessibility to the WiCyS 2023 conference. For example, the scholarship encompasses individuals that are neurodiverse, LGBTQ+, mobility disadvantaged, hearing impaired, vision impaired, a military spouse, black, LatinX/Hispanic, Indigenous, and Native American.
