Meet Our WiCys Member and Speaker: Jessa Gegax
Jessa Gegax, an Information Security Testing Analyst at Surescripts LLC in Minneapolis, MN, will be representing our WiCyS community. With an impressive background that includes an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and a minor in Environment and Natural Resources, Jessa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. Her research interests lie in offensive cloud security, IoT devices, and web application/API penetration testing. Outside of her professional endeavors, Jessa enjoys backpacking, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with her dog.

Presentation Highlight: Purple Team – Gone Tishing
Jessa’s presentation, titled “Gone Tishing: Abusing Microsoft Teams Security Misconfigurations for Webhook Hijacking and other Shenanigans,” promises to be a highlight of SecretCon. This talk will delve into how misconfigurations, a common vulnerability in business communication platforms like Microsoft Teams, can be exploited for webhook hijacking and other security breaches. Jessa will share insights on detecting and preventing these vulnerabilities, offering solutions that extend beyond the security team to encompass the entire organization.
