WiCyS members are encouraged to register for Cyber Quests Spring 2025! Cyber Quests is the first step in the process to participate in the US Cyber Challenge program. The USCC Program consists of two virtual week-long training opportunities where invitees are offered award-winning training from some of the industry’s top instructors on new concepts and approaches to security. During the camps, invitees also participate in panel discussions with industry leaders on topics from ethics to career path guidance.
Security Monitoring and Event Analysis (Spring 2025):
In this Cyber Quest, participants will be challenged to identify indicators that show an incident has occurred, differentiating between those incidents that represent impotent attack vectors and those that need to be analyzed in-depth by incident responders. Participants will analyze packets, logs, and related scenarios to determine the nature of a variety of attacks, using skills associated with Security Monitoring and Event Analysts job requirements as set forth in the Mission Critical Role Project document developed by the Council on CyberSecurity.
